The Boston Comedy Festival presents the Irish/Italian Comedy Show | September 9 | 8 pm

While the Boston Comedy scene is a melting pot, it is unique because it is dominated by Boston’s two largest immigrant groups: the Celtic American and the Italians Americans. The camaraderie and competition between these two groups is a big part of why the Boston comedy scene is so unique. So if you love Boston comedy, and you like a little Southie with your North End, don’t miss this show!

Rob Ryan – Boston Comedy Festival Champion.

Rob Ryan, like many comedy greats, hails from Long Island and has taken New York City by storm. After graduating valedictorian from Stony Brook University Rob immediately threw out his degree and relentlessly pursued stand-up comedy.

In this past year, Rob has hit the air waves appearing on “LAUGHS” on FOX and “Gotham Comedy Live” on AXStv performing original stand-up material. He’s also been featured on Radio and Television ads as an hilarious spokesman for “SHEETZ” gas and convenient stores. He is a presence in the New York scene performing nightly at the Broadway and New York Comedy Clubs, The Comic Strip, Gotham and others.

Rob is no stranger to writing having been a contributing writer for a number of sketch comedy groups in New York and L.A. Rob has recently teamed up with ‘The Reel Public’, an on-line sketch comedy group. He has garnered write-ups from and for his irreverent hilarious sketches.

Rob Ryan’s style is a perfect blend of clean, relatable observational humor wrapped in an energetic delivery. Audiences love that Rob not only shares the thoughts parading through his mind but he shows them, with vivid characters and spot on delivery. Rob’s intelligent witticisms combined with his infectious story telling make his shows not only entertaining but unforgettable. To tell you any more though would be giving it away.

Artie Januario

Artie is one of Boston’s premier comedians. He’s a pharmacist by day and a comedian by night. Artie’s relateable and hilarious act has brought him all around the country. In 2013, Artie was a featured act at Denis Leary’s Comics Come Home fundraiser. He has become one of the most well known and respected comedians in the country. Artie makes any show, corporate function, or fundraiser a resounding success.

Joey Carroll

Joey Carroll; whose comedy prowess and impeccable timing made him a standout performer at The Boston Comedy Festival, and landed him a spot with Bobcat Goldthwait on Comedy Central’s Pulp Comics. Joey performs with Jim- entertaining the troops at military bases around the world, and has been described as a cross between George Carlin and Dennis Miller.

Comedian Chris Zito

Chris Zito has spent the last thirty years sharing his obsession with his family with comedy fans and radio listeners all over the country.

Starting out as half of the comedy team Zito and Bean right out of acting school, Chris Zito moved quickly to develop his own take on life as a (very!) young father.

It wasn’t long before he became a mainstay of the early Boston Comedy scene, eventually making appearances on Comedy Central, USA Network, A&E, and NESN.

Chris Zito grew to love radio and landed on the JR in the Morning Show on WZOU in Boston in 1991. Years on the air in Boston and then Detroit, as well as countless comedy clubs all over the United States, eventually brought Chris Zito to hosting his own highly rated show on WXLO in Worcester, Massachusetts, then 103.3 WODS in Boston.

The call of the live stand up stage eventually brought him back to his roots. He is once again regularly delighting audiences with his look at family, marriage, and the how much childhood has changed.
