The Steve Sandberg Quartet masterfully blends classical and world music genres with the excitement of virtuosic improvisation. Both exhilarating and deeply poetic, the Quartet fulfills Sandberg’s lifelong dream to create original compositions that draw on his extensive experience with world and classical music, and present them in a live acoustic band. Sandberg has played with Bebel Gilberto, Ruben Blades, Mario Rivera, Celia Cruz, and David Byrne (Rei Momo) and was nominated for three Emmys for his music for “Dora the Explorer.” The quartet features the extraordinary violinist Zach Brock (of Snarky Puppy, Stanley Clark), along with bassist Michael O’Brien and drummer Mauricio Zottarelli.
