Priam Vineyards is a solar-powered winery and sustainable vineyard nestled in the Salmon River Watershed area on the Connecticut Wine Trail at 11 Shailor Hill Road off Route 149 in Colchester. Priam was recently named 2018 Connecticut Winery of the Year at the NY International Wine Competition. Its thirteen international award-winning wines are estate grown, blended, bottled and cellared on premises. The vineyard is a popular site for weddings, corporate events, and is a year-round getaway for wine tastings, concerts, family outings and picnics.
Ramblin’ Dan Stevens, a native of Connecticut, performs a mix of traditional finger style blues, Americana and originals and has entertained audiences throughout the United States, Germany, UK, Canada and US Virgin Islands. His unique style of “bottleneck” slide playing popularized by early Mississippi Delta bluesmen includes use of a homemade, three stringed “Cigar Box Guitar” and one stringed “Diddly Bow” – both primitive blues instruments.
