Harvest Music & Craft Beer Festival | September 8 | 11 am – 5 pm
Come out to the farm for a good old fashioned music festival, featuring some of the best local bands and some great local craft beers and hard apple ciders, all to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This is the 25th Anniversary of the Music Festival.
We’re excited to introduce Lyman Orchards 1741 Hard Apple Cider at this event. 1741 pays homage to a time when a classic New England cider was a staple for a young country. Full bodied with an orchard-fresh taste, 1741 Connecticut Crisp offers a semi-sweet, yet tart, flavor profile. We’ll also be pouring beers from BlackHog Brewing Company, Two Roads Brewing Company, and Soundview Brewing Company. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude.
A Silent Auction with continue throughout the day. It’s a terrific opportunity to help St. Jude continue its mission to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
Enjoy the great sounds of Middlefield’s own Presley & Taylor, who are already recognized as the next generation of country music. The duo’s dynamic vocal delivery and song selection reflect the good things in life centered on real life experiences, faith, hope and love.
The music of Goldrush crosses many boundaries of American music, but is rooted heavily in traditional country, bluegrass and American folk. Goldrush is well known for taking great songs from many other genres and giving them a new life powered by a broad array of acoustic instruments that portray these beautiful songs in a different light.
CJ West and The Downtown Train plays country, rock, rhythm & blues and “whatever!” They LIKE so many different styles of music, it would be a shame to limit what they play to one genre. The Downtown Train plays kickin’ country music, classic and modern. Most of the band has rock and roll roots so mixing that in was a no-brainer.
CTs hottest new band, Bourbon Chaser, is a unique ensemble featuring two acoustic guitars and drums. They play a wide variety of country, folk rock and rock covers that you will enjoy, including Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, CCR, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Merchant, Miranda Lambert, Sugarland and Lady Antebellum…to name a few.
Jackson Hill is a contemporary country jam band from right here in Durham. Covering popular country classics and contemporary country songs such as ‘Boondocks’, ‘Gunpowder and Lead’, ’19 Somethin’, and original songs including ‘Doubt’ and ‘Better Time’.
Five Guilford High School friends have put together one of Connecticut’s best Alt Rock Bands, Natural Law. They have played at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, and they have opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bob Dylan, the Dave Matthews Band and Fleetwood Mac.
This free, family-friendly festival brings together great music, delicious food, an amazing Corn Maze and fun activities for kids! Plenty of activities for the whole family including pony rides, face painting and fruit picking in our orchard! The music festival is free though some of the activities are available for a nominal fee.
