Highlighting regional emerging musicians, HYG HARBOR rocks out at Hygienic Art once a month! Join in Hygienic’s art scene and break up your week with amazing music that is not afraid of being different and a little loud!

Come join us for a cozy and laid back night of music in the Hygienic Art Gallery. Grab a glass of wine, or a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the talents of our two featured acts.

Opening the night is Anna May, an acoustic artist that plays traditional folk with a flavor of jazz and an Americana twist. Anna May is a twenty five year old singer and songwriter from New London, Connecticut. She shares the stage with her father, Vince Thompson, for a cross-genre escapade through heartbreak, nostalgia, and adventure. Anna’s original music is inspired by the people in her life and their stories, the places she has traveled to, and the coastal town where she grew up.

Following up is New London Favorite, Pocket Vinyl! This power house of a band has, Since 2010, played over 750 shows, released 5 albums, 2 EPs, invented the world’s first MP, creates hundreds of new art collectors nationwide, made over 14 kinds of t-shirts, and generally have been busy. We look forward to having them return to Hygienic!

About Hygienic Art

Hygienic Art is a fundamental component of New London’s arts, entertainment, tourism and economic industry. In the past year, Hygienic Art has presented more than 70 exhibits, 100 music and cultural events, after-school educational programs, the Artist Academy Jr. program and a series of collaborations with the City of New London. As a non-profit organization, we work to improve the quality of life of New London and the region.

Hygienic Art’s mission is to inspire, enrich and instill a sense of community, by promoting a free, public art forum with events to stimulate economic development, tourism and educational projects for the City of New London and surrounding areas.
