Nature in Black and White Art Opening | March 30 | 6:30 pm

Spectrum Gallery and Store in Centerbrook, Connecticut presents Nature in Black & White, highlighting the detail and beauty found in nature when artists and photographers limit their palettes to grays, whites and black. Opens Friday, March 30 with a Reception (6:30-9pm) and runs until Sunday, May 13. Original works by artists from throughout Connecticut, New York and New England are presented and include drawings, photographs, representational and abstract paintings, and mixed media. In addition, a variety of fine work by new and favorite Spectrum artisans will be offered in the Store such as pottery, ceramics, fabric, wood, paper, jewelry and more. Spectrum Gallery, at 61 Main St., Centerbrook, is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (12-6pm) and Thursday and Sunday (12-5pm). The Gallery is an expansion of the non-profit arts organization Arts Center Killingworth which offers classes, workshops, summer camps and whose mission is to provide opportunities for emerging and established artists to develop, display and sell their work.
