Take a trip through time and rock out in the Art Park for a “Surf & Swing Party” featuring live music by 9th wave and Four Barrel Billy!

9th Wave, the premier hot rod surf band, has inflicted the fury of pounding surf on the east coast and beyond since the mid 1990s. Their diverse sound includes the genres of hot rod surf, spaghetti western, sci fi, creep.

FOUR BARREL BILLY is a three-piece dance band that plays rock ‘n’ roll hits from the 50s, 60s, including rock-a-billy, surf, swing, honky-tonk and tons good old rock & roll. The band approaches these classic hits authentically. A recent article said, “These guys look like greasers, but sing like angels. One of the top acts on the Connecticut shoreline for dancing and good times.”

Hygienic Art is a fundamental component of New London’s arts, entertainment, tourism and economic industry. In the past year, Hygienic Art has presented more than 70 exhibits, 100 music and cultural events, after-school educational programs, the Artist Academy Jr. program and a series of collaborations with the City of New London. As a non-profit organization, we work to improve the quality of life of New London and the region.

Hygienic Art’s mission is to inspire, enrich and instill a sense of community, by promoting a free, public art forum with events to stimulate economic development, tourism and educational projects for the City of New London and surrounding areas.
